This time the author analyzed the physiological and psychological factors related to the achievements of archery athletes, from the relations of the achievements mainly with the physiological indexes such as heart rate, blood pressure, etc. before a match and the psychological indexes such as the conditions ready for a match, for the archery matches. As a result, the points scored in a mock match were significantly higher in the experienced athletes, compared with the inexperienced ones, and the blood pressures and heart rates before a match (before W-up, immediately before a match) showed a tendency of higher levels, in the experienced athletes, compared with the inexperienced ones. A significant, positive correlation was observed among the match results (total scores), the blood pressures before W-up (diastolic and average pressures) and the heart rates. A significant negative correlation was also observed between the match results (total scores) and the negative scores of the mood scale immediately before a match.

Following amputation, patients often report severe pain in the vivid phantom awareness of their lost limbs, which is called as phantom limb pain (PLP). Some researchers have treated PLP with providing the visual images of the lost limbs to the patients by using a mirror. We extended this paradigm to the multimodal (visual, auditory and tactile) Virtual Reality (VR) system to provide more efficient images of the phantom limb. We applied this VR system to 4 PLP patients in two different tactile conditions for 5 minutes respectively. The following findings were obtained: 1) PLP improved immediately after the VR training; and 2) Affective pain characteristics ameliorated greater than sensory pain characteristics; and finally 3) Tactile feedbacks on the healthy limb had inverse effects for the acquisition of voluntary movements of the phantom limb. These preliminary results show that we have achieved a milestone toward the neurorehabilitation platform system for PLP.

Recently,healing pet robots are developed in application of AI, especially natural language processing. The psychotherapist ELIZA is a famous in early AI research but has not Japanese voice communication as human interface. We developed Japanese ELIZA system without translators,Japanese to English Englist to Japanese and with IBM Via Voice 98,speach recognition and speach synthesis system. Robot chat Eliza system by Peri on the network is discussed.

我々は,衛生統計データを用いて離婚率の社会的要因を重回帰分析した.従属変数は,離婚率である.説明変数は,個人家庭的要因,経済的要因,社会的要因,文化的要因,そして,要因の5つの領域で,30個の変数を用意した.個々のデータの正規分布性を確認した後,変数減少法と分散分析を行い,説明変数の絞込み最終的な重回帰式を決定した.離婚を促進する要因として,完全失業率,年間平均気温,共稼ぎ,核家族,貯金高が大きく作用し,逆に離婚を抑制する要因は,持ち家,年間雪日,学歴,所得が関与している.持ち家政策の推進と,所得の増加は,勤労青少年婦人福祉施設数,3次活動平均時間も増加よりも効果が大である.

In this article, we described a paired comparison test of foreground (character) and background colors. The color sets were selected from chromatic colors (magenta-series and yellow-series) of the Web Safe Color, which is a de facto standard for the HTML color representation. We will apply the result of the test to automatic color correction of Web browsing for improving visibility and individual personal usability at the next step.

In the consciousness studies of recent years, scientific and logical approaches on clarifying consciousness have become the object of analysis and the problems resulting from it have been systematically studied. One of the major problems scientists have faced is: How is it possible to ensure the objectivity that transcends the paradox that the object a researcher studies encompasses the researcher himself/herself? In this paper, I will clarify the difference between the viewpoint brought about by the conventional human thought patterns and the completely new viewpoint that is based on the system: Simultaneous Existence with Dual Structure. In addition, I will introduce some examples in which the structure observed by the new viewpoint not only induces the unification of a person's ego and the world the person sees (the extinction of ego through the unification of subject and object), but also transforms the world the person sees. Furthermore, I will present an assumption that the unification of a person's ego and the world the person sees represents the emergence of consciousness and that the observation as a result of understanding the structure of the emerging consciousness brings about the quantization of consciousness in the macro domain. Lastly, we will mention the possibility of social reproduction brought about by the quantization of consciousness.

A psychological experiment of two conspicuous objects extraction from a shortly presented color image by human, was executed using a display with the touch panel. Our results are as follows: (1) Subjects touched the center of the conspicuous object. (2) Large object was more conspicuous than small object. (3) An individual difference in response time and touched location was not so large. (4) The individual touched frequency for an image including three or more objects was about equal.

Recently the number of tuberculosis at Osaka City is increasing to the high level in the world. It is important to make clear the mechanism of the trial of the tuberculosis spread model. In this paper, we propose a mathematical model for the tuberculosis spread model in Osaka using the distance based on the data of 27 indexes of the management table of Osaka's tuberculosis. From the analytical results based on our model, it is suggested that tuberculosis spread model in Osaka has the central area and it is spread to the seaside.
